５日間ほどシンガポールへ行ってきた。目的はベイエリアで開催される"BANK ART FAIR"。シンガポールは行ったことがなかったけど、ギャラリーに誘われアーティスト参加することにした。イメージは南国なんだけどルールに厳しい大都会。アートフェアのスタートが昼からと遅いので、午前中は一緒に参加したアーティストのRioさん＆ギャラリースタッフと街を散策してまわった。
シンガポールは小さな国でインド、イスラム、中国と異国の文化が混ざり合い、最新の建築、エンターテーメント施設やホテルがそびえ立つ。街のどこかしらアジアンカルチャーがミックスされているけど、シンガポールの印象は不思議に白く色がない。シンガポールに勤めている同級生と久しぶりに再会したり、アジアのアーティスト同士の交流も刺激があっておもしろく、マーライオンが小さいのはライオンの人魚（マーメイド）だからと知って納得した旅だった。
I went to Singapore for 5 days. I joined “BANK ART FAIR” as an artist. It’s first time to visit Singapore. Singapore has a lot of rules. It’s little difficult to live. Art fair starts from noon. so I have a time and go for sightseeing with other artist. Singapore is small country. India, Islam and Chinese culture are mixed. and newest technologies are. I can see asian culture everywhere in the town. but I can’t feel Singapore’s original atmosphere. I wonder it. I came and knew a Merlion is small.
